"Trump or Bust" Candidate Went Bust in NH Primary

Late last night, the Associated Press called the Republican primary race for New Hampshire’s first congressional district for Russell Prescott. Prescott has previously served on the state’s Executive Council, and has served as a State Senator.
On September 10th, several Republican candidates failed to advance in the primary in which only one person would contend in November against Chris Pappas. Among them was New Hampshire’s worst citizen, Joe Kelly Levasseur. Levasseur finished in third place, getting an estimated 14,343 of the votes, or 23%.
This defeat is the latest in a series of losses by Levasseur, who has failed repeatedly in almost every race he’s been in, except for Manchester Alderman-at-large.
In 2022, he ran for a position in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, and finished fourth, failing to gain a position.
In 2016, he ran for the state’s Executive Council and lost to Chris Pappas.
In 2010, he ran for State Senate and lost to long-time Democrat Lou D’Allesandro.
This year, Levasseur described his strategy as “Trump or Bust,” throwing his support all the way behind a convicted felon who was credibly accused of rape, and who appears as Doe 174 in documents detailing Jeffrey Epstein’s clients for his underage sex parties.
While Levasseur has done nothing but get himself embroiled in controversy, Prescott has been making positive headway in the news, citing his experience as the owner of R.E. Prescott company. He has a difficult road ahead of him, defeating a popular incumbent from a popular party, while his party is distinctly unpopular at the moment.
For the worst citizen, it’s back to Facebook and his local access TV show to talk about any grievance he might have against anyone. So far, he has failed to recognize his own worst enemy looks at him in the mirror every morning.
